For Pets
Animals are highly sensitive to Reiki energies, and can be very responsive to treatment. However it's important for animal caregivers to respect that their animal companion might not want to receive Reiki, and to allow the animal to lead the process. If the animal is not receptive, they will leave the area, but more often they enjoy receiving Reiki and will relax or sometimes fall asleep.
In-person sessions, I will sit with the animal either alone or with the companion. Once I channel the energy, the animal will often come closer to me and allow me to place my hands. Other times the animal may wish to keep a distance, and in these instances I simply direct the energy flow around the entire area.Â
Distance sessions, I'll open a virtual meeting and ask you to point the camera at the animal so I can monitor how they respond to the energy I'm channeling. For pets who are anxious and/or suspicious of strangers this is often the ideal treatment method.
Treatment continues until the animal leaves the area, or falls asleep. The average treatment lasts about 20-30 minutes.
PLEASE NOTE: Animal treatments are charged by the session. As the animal's receptivity to treatment determines if and how treatment proceeds, it is recommended you schedule this appointment at a time when the animal would not normally be occupied with other things, such as eating, sleeping, or exercising.
